Palatine Stingrays

 

The Palatine Stingrays are the organized travel softball team located in Palatine, Illinois. The Palatine Stingrays are an extension of Palatine Community Baseball and Softball (PCBS). The Stingrays organization is committed to developing sound softball mechanics and fundamentals as well as confidence in all Stingray players.  Teams are provided for girls in U9,U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U16 and U18 age levels.

The Palatine Stingrays compete in various local leagues. Tournament schedules consist of USSSA, ASA, NSA, and PGF qualifiers.  In 2020 the 14U team attended the USSSA Class B Great Lake Nationals in Peoria, IL and finished first.  In 2019 the 14U were the Louisville Slugger All American Champions. In 2015, both the U14 and U10 teams attended the USSSA Nationals in Salisbury, Maryland.

 

Teams typically play 2-3 tournaments in the fall along with several scrimmages in September and October. Indoor workouts are held from January-March.  The spring/summer season begins in March with approximately 7-9 tournaments in addition to 15-18 league games and additional scrimmages. There is typically 1-2 tournaments requiring out of town travel.  The season concludes the 3rd week of July.
